MOUNTAIN ASH WELSH CHOIR (ALTOONA, PA)

ALTOONA TRIBUNE
I received this fantastic record today from my friend, Tomi Larsen in Pittsburgh. Rev. William Bowles (1859-1937) is in her bloodline; both descended from William Lewis (1807 -1871) a Welsh Minister born in South America. He lived most of his life in Wales, dying in Gaysport, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
William Thomas (1852-1930) was my husband Nigel's great grandfather; he was married to Mary Elizabeth Bowles (1854-1918), sister of the Reverend Bowles.
Later in 1909, in August William Rowland Thomas, Nigel's father was born in Altoona to Elizabeth Ann (Rowlands) and 'Tom W Thomas'.
